Denis Kozerawski (*1990) is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. From 2012 to 2022, he was involved in publishing, organizational, curatorial, and artistic activities within projects such as APART and A Promise of Kneropy. Since 2020, he has collaborated with the Design Cabinet on projects like “A City for Everyone? Uncovering the Infrastructure of Segregation” and, more recently, the development of a computer game about the social position of Roma people.
In his individual practice, Kozerawski focuses primarily on social themes and the role of art in the context of the climate crisis. His primary medium is moving image. His work has been showcased in exhibitions such as From Matter to Data: Ecology of Infrastructures at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, as well as at E-flux Bar-Laika, Alserkal Arts Foundation in Dubai, the City Gallery Prague, Kunsthalle Bratislava, the East Slovak Gallery, HIT Gallery, Kunsthalle TRAFO in Szczecin, Kronika CC in Bytom, Easttopics in Budapest, among others. As a curator, he has contributed to projects with A Promise of Kneropy, Gallery Krokus, HIT Gallery, APART STUDIO, and Kunsthalle Bratislava. He is a laureate of the Oskár Čepan Award.
